Undergraduate degree in English Literature, University of Southern California. Worked in architecture front offices, Eric Own Moss and Coop Himmelblau (LA) before attending CalArts graduate program in the Live Action Film/Video Program.
After joining the technical faculty at the Art History and the Visual Arts program at Occidental College, moved on to become the Production Manager at Pitzer College in Media Studies. Taught workshops and classes on Advanced Editing and Introductory Video Production. Left to open a Venice based visual effects editorial studio supporting freelance work projects for neighboring special effects studios.
Shifted focus on archiving collections and became Image Services Manager at the CalArts Library, applying digitization skills to projects ranging from teaching collections to library collections. Maintained flatbed and DSLR camera capture studios, working with photochemical elements, collection and archival objects, posters and print materials, as well as motion picture formats up to 16mm. Sought to expand metadata experience by seeking a MLIS degree and UCLA.
During the MLIS program interned at the Fox Archive at Twentieth Century Fox, Hugh M. Hefner Moving Image Archive at USC, and the UCLA Film and Television Archive in Valencia. A professional internship at the Walt Disney Studios lead to a job offer in Corporate Brand Management, Enterprise Metadata Services, currently as a Sr. Data Librarian working with taxonomies leveraging title and character data for studio partners.
